And Redcloak's been given some things to think about - I'm still not expecting him to actually have a redemption arc or anything, but if he does, even to a limited degree, the seeds Durkon's planted now will be a significant part of it.
He's gotten to see Redcloak's side of the problem, and accepted the actual good points Redcloak has mixed in with his racism and sunk-cost fallacy, so he'll have more perspective on ways to approach the issue now. Honestly, I think this was as good a possible outcome as Durkon was ever going to get (assuming he survives, of course). I'm guessing she's somewhere near Durkon to offer backup if needed - not that she'd be able to take down Redcloak, of course, but she might be able to help with the getaway.
